About The Nursery

Natalie - Nusery Supervisor

The Nursery is managed on a day to day basis by Nursery Supervisor Natalie Booth. Natalie has 10 years experience of working with children and is a graduate in Advanced Study of Early Years and Education Studies. She also has Early Years Professional Status.

It gives us great pleasure in providing the highest possible standard of care and education, the latest equipment and resources, and a safe and happy environment where children are encouraged to develop their skills to the full; the head start that every young child deserves.

Our Staff

Nadine - Head of the blue room

The care at Daisy Chain Day Nursery is provided by fully qualified and experienced staff who have all been cleared by a full Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosure and hold a current Paediatric First Aid qualification.

It is staffed by highly qualified childcare professionals using staff / child ratios among the highest in the profession.

Eileen - Head of red room

Our staff work in teams within the nursery and so are responsible for the same age group continuously. This enables the child to bond with particular members of staff.

In turn the staff have the chance to build more in-depth knowledge of the children in their care.

At Daisy Chain Day Nursery we have a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) whose role it is to maintain and implement the care and education for children with additional needs.

Lauren - Head of green room (pre-school)Educational Goals

We at Daisy Chain Day Nursery aim to provide a curriculum that is, stimulating, enjoyable and sufficiently flexible for each individual child to flourish and thrive happily and within their own capabilities.

Through long and short-term preparation we plan a broad spectrum of activities and play opportunities using natural and man-made resources. Throughout the Nursery there is continual progression through the key stages of learning, from speech, shapes, colours, animals etc., to language, literacy, mathematics and music.
These creative programmes encourage a positive attitude towards learning as well as independence and curiosity.

Through all the work that we undertake with the children we are providing the foundation for their future growth and development during school life.

Parental Involvement

We endeavour to work in partnership with parents to ensure the overall well being of their children. We recognise that parents and adults caring for their children working closely together has a measurable and lasting effect on their achievements.
