Our aims and ethos
At Daisy Chain Day Nursery in Chesterfield, we strive to provide children with a caring and safe environment to grow, learn and have fun. Our curriculum is designed to nurture the many skills that children are born with. We integrate academic, social, emotional, physical and creative development. Our staff provide children with opportunities to learn at their own pace and become confident and independent. Our qualified staff provide children with an innovative and educational way of learning and help them to become responsible and to promote self-confidence and independence. Our nursery is divided into three different rooms, catering for the different needs of the children we care for (3 months – 5 years old).

Providing an environment where every child can thrive
We aim to provide children with a curriculum that is stimulating, enjoyable and flexible. We believe that children learn best through play and through interaction with their surroundings. Our teaching methods encourage a positive attitude towards learning, independence and curiosity.
We offer a wide range of activities to stimulate every child’s learning and our nursery is home to modern equipment and resources for the children. We understand that each child is unique and encourage children to take things at their own pace.

Qualified and Experienced Nursery Staff
At Daisy Chain Day Nursery in Chesterfield, we understand that the early years are crucial for your child; a caring teacher is an integral part of your child’s early years nursery and pre-school experience. Each teacher at Daisy Chain recognises the important role they play in encouraging your child’s zest for learning. All our teaching staff are qualified and well trained and provide a safe, warm, caring and stimulating environment for your children to grow and develop in.

Meet the Daisy Chain Day Nursery Team

Angela Cancellara
Nursery Managing Director
Angela has over 40 years’ experience of working with children. This experience ranges from firstly working as a qualified nanny and Nursery Nurse and latterly as a Registered Sick Children’s Nurse, working as Ward Sister on a busy paediatric ward. During this time she was responsible for teaching her ward staff basic/advanced life support and various other medical procedures, as well as the day to day running of the ward.

Nursery Business Director
Maria has experience of being a working parent. She has three children and over 30 years of experience managing people, leading teams and working in business environments.
